Jacqueline Taylor, Ph.D.
Professional Experience After obtaining her Masters and Ph.D. in College & University Administration from Michigan State University, Jackie served as an executive for higher education institutions for over 25 years. She has served as a VP for College and Community Relations, a Provost, a Chief Operating Officer, a VP of Diversity and Cultural Affairs, a VP of Development, and as a President. Jackie served as an executive with the following colleges and universities: Davenport University, Community College of Alleghany County (PA), Fulton-Montgomery Community College (NY), and Lansing Community College. Since her retirement from Higher Education, Jackie founded and operated her own consulting firm prior to joining Pondera Advisors.
Jackie has led a wide array of diversity and cultural initiatives. She has instituted multicultural training, developed study abroad and formed educational partnerships with international universities. Jackie has helped create a foundation for people of different cultures to realize and share their strengths as they work together for a better connected world.
Jackie’s passion for building strong communities is evident in her work on non-profit boards. She is president of the Downtown Rotary Club of Grand Rapids and serves on the Boards of YMCA of Grand Rapids, ATHENA International, the Michigan Women’s Foundation, Michigan Habitat for Humanity, the Heritage Hill Board, and Michigan Campus Compact.
Consulting and Educational Experience
- Diversity and Multicultural Initiatives: Has led several successful diversity and multicultural initiatives at higher education institutions.
- Fund Development: Has consulted and led fund development drives at higher education institutions and other non-profits.
- Executive Recruiting: Chairs the Succession Planning Committee for a state wide organization.
- Author: Over a 15 year period has published about Leadership Development, Organizational Change, Total Quality Management, Diversity, and Multicultural topics in books and journals.
- Strategic Planning: Experienced in strategic planning.
- Education: Consultant-Evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission.

Personal Jackie lives in the Township of Cascade in the Greater Grand Rapids area where she serves on the Quail Crest Association Board, supports Michigan State University, and focuses on the numerous boards she sits on.
