Professional Experience
After receiving his B.A. in French and a minor in Spanish from Grand Valley State University (GVSU), Farid began his career in education as an Adult Education Coordinator at Grand Rapids Community Education. He then moved to being a Business Translator/Interpretation Specialist for Amway Corporation and helped them build training materials in several different languages. Farid moved on to be a Public Relations /Concierge at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids, MI.
Management was his next stop, being the assistant Sales Manager at Tony Betten Ford in Grand Rapids, MI and then Sales Manager for Groendyke’s Shoe Stores, also in Grand Rapids, MI. After returning to GVSU to get a teaching certificate, Farid taught high school Spanish classes in Cedar Springs, MI and was an adjunct professor at GVSU. Upon completion of his Master’s Degrees for Secondary Education Counseling and Clinical Psychology: Counseling, Farid worked for Steelcase Inc as a therapist for their Counseling and Referral Services.
For the past 19 years, Farid has worked as a professional trainer for Ford Motor Co. He has provided training in areas such as Sales Management, Sales Techniques, Product Knowledge, Customer Satisfaction, Customer Loyalty, Business Management, Managerial Styles and Applications, Live seminars, In-dealership training, events and, Product ride & drive. Farid has provided training in English and Spanish, as he is fluent in both, in countries all across the globe. He is very knowledgeable of social and business etiquette in many cultures across the world.
Consulting Experience
- Sales: Has trained and consulted extensively on sales and marketing, sales management, and sales techniques.
- Customer Service: Has taught extensively through training and consulting on how to build customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Business Management: Has consulted with leaders on how to improve their businesses through varying their leadership styles.
Education
Farid received a Bachelor of Arts in French with a minor in Spanish from GVSU, while later returning to complete his teaching certificate. He later completed a Master’s in Secondary Education Counseling from GVSU and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology Counseling from Western Michigan University.
Personal
Farid currently lives in Miami, Florida. There he enjoys the warm weather, the close proximity to his second home on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, and the vibrant culture in the city. When Farid is not working as a consultant he enjoys working on his home in Mexico, singing at clubs and various events as a hired entertainer, and doing some modeling and acting as opportunities arise.
