 Rob Elliott
Professional Experience
Rob began his professional career as a high school business teacher and football, basketball, and track coach in Wisconsin. He later left the classroom to serve as a school business manager for three different districts. Next, Rob relocated to his home state of Michigan to serve as a superintendent of schools for two different districts. After 17 years in public education, Rob switched to the corporate world, serving for four years as director of training and development for a publicly traded international footwear manufacturer with 7000 employees. The next challenge he tackled was serving for five years as vice president of sales and marketing for a family owned printing and data management company where he served as the #2 executive for its 70 employees and led a sales team of 10 men and women with $9 million in sales. Next, Rob had short stints as an associate in a leadership consulting practice and as a chief operating officer of a commercial real estate firm, prior to founding Pondera Advisors with John Belaski and Joe Day in 2006.

- Acquisitions: Negotiated and then facilitated the implementations of several manufacturing acquisitions.

- Change Management: Led the change management and training for an enterprise-wide software implementation.

- Organizational Development and Succession Planning: Designed and implemented processes for an international manufacturer.
- Strategic Planning: Planned and facilitated several clients’ long range planning processes.

Personal Information
Rob and his wife, Roberta (Bert), live in East Grand Rapids, Michigan with their black Labrador retriever, Gucci. Bert is a campaign consultant for United Way of West Michigan. Bert and Rob have two sons. Robert is a college student and Tony is a professional dancer. Rob enjoys gardening and golf, and is an avid duck hunter. A successful high school lacrosse coach, Rob’s teams have a combined record of 75-9, including 2 undefeated seasons. Rob and Bert are active in their parish church, and enjoy the beach and their evening walks together.
