 Joe Day
Professional Experience
Following a successful collegiate career at St. Lawrence University, Joe spent eight years as a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League, American Hockey League, and International Hockey League. During that time he captained four different teams, served as an Executive Committee Member of the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, and won numerous awards including Team MVP, Most Inspirational, and Unsung Hero. In addition to his individual accomplishments, Joe is most proud of being a member of several championship winning teams at the collegiate and professional levels as both a player and a coach.
Joe then transitioned into the business world working as a salesman and consultant in sports marketing, corporate real estate, and education. Building upon this experience, Joe co-founded Pondera Advisors with Rob Elliott and John Belaski in 2006. Joe also serves as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University and is the Head Hockey Coach at East Grand Rapids High School.

Education
Joe received his B.A. from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York and is completing a M.A. in Management and Organizational Development at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Personal Information
Joe lives in East Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife and two sons, and enjoys reading, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
