John Belaski
Professional Experience John started his career in large suburban school district teaching high school social studies. After earning his Master’s Degree, he directed a unique drug rehabilitation program for a three county area. John then invested ten years owning and managing an import/export business. Next, he successively served a wide variety of human service agencies as a project director, program developer, therapist, prevention specialist, assessment coordinator and director. John then joined a regional educational service agency where he developed and co-led a crisis response and violence management institute serving local school districts as well as providing trainings nationally. His other responsibilities included establishing a model cultural diversity program and serving as a champion of diversity for his agency and the region. In addition to being a founding partner of Pondera Advisors, John serves on the Northview School Board.

- Business Development: Created several stand alone businesses and non-profit corporations, and delivered training at the community college level.
- Crisis Preparation and Response: Worked with a variety of public agencies.
- Executive Coaching: Coached numerous leaders and mangers.
- Team Building: Orchestrated team-building processes for teams in a variety of industries.
- Training: Delivered training on Communications Skills, Crisis Training, Cultural Diversity, Problem Solving, etc.

Personal Information John and his wife, Sue, reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan with their teenage daughter, Whitney. They are active in their community through a variety of service work. Sue is coordinator for the Michigan Alliance for Gifted Education. Both have been active in church work including being part of a founding group for a new church in Grand Rapids. John is a board member of several local and statewide organizations. The most significant element of John’s life is his family including his relationship with his very special daughter.
